Carl H. WILLIAMS, 84, of Largo, Fla., died 7:20 a.m. February 19, 1999, at Sabel Palms Health Care Center in Largo, Fla.

He was a retired engineer on Illinois Central Railroad.

Mr. WILLIAMS was born March 22, 1914, in Mt. Vernon, a son of John Logan Greene and Louetta (LEVALL) WILLIAMS.

November 25, 1933, in Mt. Vernon, he married Helen RAINEY, who survives.

Graveside services will be noon Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Gary KARCH officiating. There will be no visitation. Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Arrangements are in the charge of the Johnston Funeral Home.

Mr. WILLIAMS is survived by his wife, Helen WILLIAMS of Largo, Fla.; one brother, Virgil M. WILLIAMS of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Leona SINKS of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. WILLIAMS was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon.
