Mary A. Williams, 97, Bonnie, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.

She was born in Bonnie on June 10, 1910, a daughter of Marion and Alice (Faulkner) Bennett.

She married Wesley Williams on Nov. 10, 1946, in Bonnie, and he preceded her in death.

She was owner and operator of Bennett's General Store in Bonnie.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Gary Whipple officiating. Burial will follow at Kirk Cemetery in Ina.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mary is survived by a niece, Jean Reece and husband Ralph of Bonnie, and two brothers-inlaw, Claude Williams and wife Esther of Mt. Vernon and Daniel Williams of illinois.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Mary was a member of the Bonnie United Methodist Church. She received an award for serving 55 years as treasurer at Bonnie United Methodist Church and was formerly named in Who's Who in Methodism.
