Neil Edward “Eddie” Williams III
Neil Edward “Eddie” Williams III, 49, of Mt. Vernon died 5:45 p.m. April 18, 2005, at his residence in Mt. Vernon. He was a concrete specialist. Mr. Williams was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Mt. Vernon to Neil Edward “Bud” Williams Jr. and Bonnadean (Hill) Williams. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Terry Edson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Williams is survived by a son, Hogan Kyle Williams of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Casey Williams of Hanover Park and Cassie Williams of Mt. Vernon; a special friend, Sherry Smith of Mt. Vernon; a granddaughter, Rose Danielsen of Hanover Park; his mother and stepfather, Bonnadean Reimer and husband Art of Mt. Vernon; his grandmother, Anna Marie “Tommie” Hill of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Tom Williams and wife Karen of Mt. Vernon, Donnie Williams and wife JoAnn of St. Louis and Kenny Clark and wife Melinda of Dexter, Mo.; a sister, Kathleen Shoemaker and husband Ron of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Williams was an avid outdoorsman and a lifetime member of the Mt. Vernon Gun and Sportsman’s Club, a member of the Green Hills Golf Club and the Mt. Vernon Moose Lodge. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s School or St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
