Bessie Laura Stringer Willmore

Mrs. G.W. (Stringer) Willmore

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bessie Laura Willmore, 79 of 947 East Grand Ave., will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday in the Monson Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Wednesday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.

She died at 1:45 A.M. yesterday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital,where she had been a patient for three days.

A Decatur resident for more than 50 years, Mrs. WIllmore had been ill for about two months.

She was born Aug. 26, 1882, in Spring Garden, a daughter of James and Hannah Laura Hicks Stringer

She attended the Foursquare Church and was a member of Scott Wilson Auxilliary of Camp 55, Spanish American War Veterans, in Decatur.

She married G.W. Willmore at Mount Vernon, June 26, 1901. He died March 6, 1956.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Herbert (Mary L.) Schmidt, Decatur; (born in Spring Garden)three sons, P.J. Willmore (born in Spring Garden)and Ray L. Willmore, both of Decatur, Harold J. Willmore,(born in Spring Garden) Arcadia, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs Azalia Deck, Mount Vernon;Mrs. Sarah Nane, Scottsdale, Arizona, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-granchildren.
