GEORGE W. WILLMORE RAILROADER DIES George W. Willmore, 78, of 947 E. Grand Ave., a retired Wabash Railroad employe, died at 5:15 a.m. today in the Wabash Employes Hospital. He worked as a car inspector for the Wabash nearly 23 years before his retirement in 1945. He had been a resident of Decatur 42 years. Mr. Willmore was born in Jefferson County Feb. 24, 1879, a son of Henry and Harriet W. Willmore. He was married to Bessie Stringer in June, 1901. She survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Schmidt of Decatue; three sons, P.J. Willmore of Decatur; Harold of Arcadia, Mo.; and Ray, in the Army, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War and a member of the Scot Wilson Post, United Spanish War Veterans. The body was taken to the Monson Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests contibutions to the Heart Fund instead of flowers. Gabriel's pallbearers included:
