John Willmore
John Willmore of Spring Garden Suddenly Passes Away John Willmore, one of the oldest residents of this county, suddenly died at his home south of Spring Garden at Noon today. He was at the table eating when suddenly he suddenly began joking (sic) and within three or four minutes, life was extracted. He has been a sufferer from aesthenia some time, and has been very poorly the last six weeks. John Willmore was born in Tennessee, March 17, 1832, and moved to this county some 50 years ago. He has been married three times; in 1852 to Sarah Page; in 1880, to Nancy Marks; and in 1887, to Dora Tyler; the later is still living. He was a member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church and was one of the most respected men of the community. Surviving him are his brother Henry Willmore of Spring Garden and another in Arkansas, a sister in Colorado, and the following sons and daughters: Henry WIllmore, Jr., Mrs. Philip Karch, and Mrs. Jas Carroll of this City; Chester Willmore, McCleansboro, Mrs. Pierce Cook, Belle Rive, Mrs. E. T. Johnson, Carl Junction; Mrs. Lloyd Ramsey, Walla Walla, Wash; Mrs. WIlliam Borders, Moore's Prairie; and his step daughter, Mrs. Oscar Jenkins of this City. There are no arrangements yet for the funeral.
