John W. Willmore Dies At age 56 Rites Thursday

John Wesley Willmore of 1420 south 12th street died at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 56 years, seven days old.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Ace Summers officiating. The body will lie in state at Meyers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Willmore was born June 6, 1907, in Tamaora, Ill., the son of John and Belle (Lewis) Willmore. In 1932, at St. Charles, Mo., he was married to Violet Bethal, who survives.

He is also survived by two sons, George Willmore of Colby, Kan., and Charles Wesley Willmore, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Billie Lou Lutrell and Mrs. Mayabell Hodges, both of Chicago; a step-daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Cooln of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Marion Willmore of West Frankfort, and Oakley Willmore of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Poston of this city; and 11 grandchildren.

Mr. Willmore was a member of the Bethal Tabernackle church.
