Hosie M. Wilson

Hosie M. WILSON Dies Suddenly at Farm Home

Hosie M. Wilson, 49, a well known Jefferson County farmer, collapsed and died suddenly last evening while working at his home on Route 1, Bonnie.

Mr. Wilson, collapsed about 7:25 p.m. while working on the contructionof a new septic tank. He was rushed by Litton ambulance to Good Samaritanhospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Coroner John Richardson said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Myers Chapel conducted by the Rev. Roy Van Horn and burial will be at Wolf Prairie cemetery. Military services will be in charge of Jefferson Post 141 American Legion, of which he was a member. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Wilson was born June 25, 1919 in Jefferson county the son of Homer H. and Effie (Wicks) Wilson.

He was married July 22, 1967 in Mt. Vernon to Roma Morgan who survives.

Mr. Wilson, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, was a member of the American Legion, Amvets and V.F.W.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two step-daughters Wanda Oathout of Justice, Ill and Cheryl Morgan, at home; one step-son, Larry Morgan of Mt. Vernon; four brothers; Raymond, Elisha, Homer and Ogal Wilson all of Mt. Vernon; a sister Lela Williams of Bonnie; and three grandchildren.
