Joseph Daniel WILSON, of Rt. 3 Waltonville, was found dead of an apparent heart attack at his home Tuesday. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Fry Funeral Chapel in Waltonville, with The Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Burial will be in South Hickory Hill cemetery near Waltonville Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Wilson was born in Jefferson county Nov. 9, 1891 the son of Elijah and Eleanora (Wells) Wilson.

He was married in September, 1910 to Vesta Dees, who survives.

Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Glenn (Mutt) of Mt. Vernon, Lowell of Champaign, Byford of Mt. Vernon, and Bill of Walnut Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Ballard of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Marietta Fay Wells of Bonnie; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, six brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
