Orley Wilson
Orley WILSON of Maroa, Ill, a former Jefferson county resident died Saturday at the age of 68 years, eight months and seven days. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Myers Chapel in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Marsh Harpole will officiate an burial will be in the South Hickory Hill cemetery.The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time until the funeral hour. Mr. Wilson, a farmer, resided in Jefferson county until about four years ago. He was born January 17, 1881 in McClellan township, the son of Elijah and Elenor (Wells) Wilson. On April 9, 1905 he was married to Martha Black who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Roy Wilson of Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Fairchild of Scheller and Mrs. Helena Harris of Waltonville; three brothers, Waldy Wilson and Richard Wilson of Waltonville and Joe Wilson of Mt. Vernon; a sister Cora Britton of Mt. Vernon; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
