Wayne City Woman Dies Mrs. Anna Whalen, 91, a Wayne City woman, died at 4:30 Monday morning (today) in the Carmi hospital. Mrs. Wilson had been a patient in the Carmi nursing home. She was transferred to the hospital several days ago. Rites Thursday Services will be conducted at 11 a.. Thursday at Richardson's Chapel in Wayne City with Br. Ron Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Wilson was born in Jefferson County, May 8, 1895, the daughter of William and Minnie (Butler) Phillips. She was married to Everett Wilson, who died in 1962. She was a housewife. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Wayne City Christian Church and the Wayne City Eastern Star. The survivors are one brother, William Phillips, of Solvang, Calif.; one sister, Emma Williamson, no address given; two nephews, Bob Wilson, of Fairfield, former Wayne County sheriff; and Curt Wilson, Wayne City.
