Raymond Wilson Of Dahlgren Died At Age 78 Raymond Wilson, 78, Dahlgren, died at 6:41 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a retired farmer and worked at the Mt. Vernon State Game Farm and for the state highway department for several years. Mr. Wilson was born in Jefferson County May 28, 1904, the son of Homer H. and Effie (Wicks) Wilson. On Dec. 24, 1925, he married Vivian Wilderman, who survives. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Richard McCormack officiating. Burial will follow in Cub Cemetery near Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Murrel Eugene and Otto G. Wilson, both of Mt. Vernon and Donald L. Wilson of Slidell La.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty L. Gentle of Dallas, Mrs. Lois Wilkerson of Belle Rive, and Mrs. Lila Shelton of Dahlgren; two brothers, Homer A. and Ogal Wilson, both of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Lelah Williams of Mt. Vernon; 25 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Wilson was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
