Russell M. Wilson
Russell M. Wilson, 66, of Route 5, Centralia, died at 3:40 p.m. yesterday at Veteran's Hospital in Marion. Mr. Wilson was born in Waltonville on Jan. 21, 1905, the son of Phillip and Ethel (Newell) Wilson. On Oct. 3, 1943, he was married, in Centralia, to Vera Perry, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Military Police, U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 446 in Centralia, and was also a member of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers. He was also a member of the First United Methodist church of Centralia. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Keith-Swango Funeral Home in Centralia, with Rev. Don Burroughs officiating. Burial will be in Knob Prairie cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Friday. Military rites will be American Legion Post 446. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Vera; his step-father, Sam Rightnowar, Waltonville; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Ann Wilkins, Centralia; two grandchildren; and a brother, Rex Wilson, Galesburg.
