Ella Wimberley Dies at age of 82: Funeral Sunday

Mrs. Ella Wimberely, wife of J. W. Wimberley, died at 5:30 P.M. yesterday at the home, 316 South 22nd Street. Her age was 82 tears, two months and 12 days.
Mrs. Wimberley, a respected resident of this city for the past 35 years, had been in poor health since February 18 and had been seriously ill for the past eight weeks.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at the First Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. C.C. Hall, assisted by the Rev. M.A. Souers, the pastor. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix until 7:30 P.M. today and then will be taken to the family home, where her many friends may call at any time up to the funeral hour.
Mrs. Winberley was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah (Brock) Moss.
On November 13, 1879, she was united in marriage with Marshall Maxey, who preceded her in death in September 1926.
On October 24, 1936 she was quietly married to J. W. Wimberley at her home in Mt. Vernon.
She is the last member of her immediate family. Her parents, three brothers and three sisters preceeded her in death.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church, having been converted in early girlhood.
Her many friends will remember the excellent readings she gave.
