Barbara (Baker) Woelfel
Barbara Baker Woelfel, 71, of Littleton, Colo., and formerly of Bonnie died 4:30 a.m. Feb. 7, 2005, at her home. Prior to her retirement, she was a legal secretary in both Illinois and Colorado. Mrs. Woelfel was born March 23, 1933, in Jefferson County to Emory and Beulah (Hicks) Baker. She married Stanley R. Woelfel Aug. 19, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.; he survives. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Randy Sells will officiate. Burial will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in rural Jefferson County. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Woelfel is survived by her husband, Stanley R. Woelfel of Littleton, Colo.; a son, David R. Woelfel and wife Cathy of Centennial, Colo; a daughter, Debra Faigh and husband Richard of Northridge, Calif.; grandchildren Matthew Faigh of Northridge, Calif., Julie Bryer Bishop of Parker, Colo., and Andrew Bishop-Woelfel of Baltimore, Colo; a brother, Roy L. Baker of Surprise, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends from her high school class of 1950-51. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Beulah (Hicks) Baker; two brothers, Tech. Sgt. Everett Neal and Sgt. Samuel Wayne Baker; and a sister, Louise Mitchell Sturdevant. Mrs. Woelfel was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home, where you may call 242-3348 for further information.
