James A. Wood, 76, Rural Mail Carier, Succumbs in Opdyke

James A. Wood, 76, a retired rural mail carrier, died at his home in Opdyke at 7:00 o'clock this morning.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Opdyke Methodist church. The body will lie in state at his home, where friends may call at any time after 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Wood is survived by his widow, Alice; three sons, Lloyd of Carmi, Fred of Bluford and Roy of Champaign, and one sister, Mrs. J. L. Davenport of Mt. Vernon.

One daughter, Sarah Kathryn, preceded him in death in 1935.
