Charlotte Grey (Muckelroy) Yearwood

Mrs. Charlotte GREY YEARWOOD, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kyra PACE, on the Salem Road at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon, just one day before her 65th birthday. Death was not unexpected as she had been seriously ill with a heart ailment for the past ten years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, April 11, at the Myers Chapel and burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs. Yearwood spent her entire life in and near Mt. Vernon. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist church and in her early life took an active part in all of the activities of the church. For the past several years she had been a member of the Pleasant Grove Ladies Aid.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother.

She is survived by her husband Joseph C. Yearwood; one son, Macer Yearwood of Evansville, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Kyra Pace; one sister, Mrs. Vern Gillianwater of Cresswell, Oregon and three grandchildren.

A daughter, Evangeline Yearwood, died in 1922.
