Harry Yearwood
Funeral services for Harry YEARWOOD, who died yesterday at 715 Harrison in the same house where he was born, will be held at the Pulley Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Geo. P. Rutledge will officiate with the assistance of the Rev. Logan Cox and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Yearwood is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Wilson of St. Louis and Mrs. Margaret McGill of Mt. Vernon, and three brothers, Frank and Joe of Mt. Vernon and Charles of East St. Louis. He was born July 12, 1877, the son of Joseph and Mary (Kline) Yearwood and on August 25, 1926 was married to Nellie Huffstutler. In failing health for the past five years, Mr. Yearwood had been confined to his home for two years. For 12 years he drove the team at the fire station and for 20 years he did dray work in the city. Prior to his confinement he was employed as caretaker at the Mt. Vernon Library.
