Joseph Bogan Yearwood

Jo B. YEARWOOD, age 71, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oral G. (Shorty) PACE on the Centralia road after a two months illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Myers Chapel. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. YEARWOOD was born August 27, 1874, at Mt. Vernon, the son of Jospeh and Mary (Klein) YEARWOOD.

He was married April 12, 1895, to Charlotte Grey MUCKELROY, who died April 9, 1939.

Mr. YEARWOOD is survived by one son, Macer, of Evansville, Ind.; one daughter Mrs.Kyra PACE and three grandchildren.

He also leaves two brothers, Charles, of East St. Louis and Frank of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine WILSON of East St. Louis and Mrs. Margaret MCGILL of Mt. Vernon.

One daughter, Evangeline, died December 24, 1922, and a daughter, Martha died in infancy. A brother, Harry, died this year.

Mr. YEARWOOD for many years was an employe of the Jefferson Milling Co. and worked for the L & N railroad and J.P. Devine Co. before his retirement, six years ago.

Note from Sandy: his wife's obit states his name was Joseph C. Yearwood. His World War I draft card lists his full name as Joseph Bogan Yearwood, born August 27, 1874.
