Master Sgt. Jeffrey S. Young
Master Sgt. Jeffrey S. Young, 40, of Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, died 2:30 p.m. Oct. 22, 2005, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a master sargent in the United States Air Force 366th Training Squadron. Mr. Young was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Mt. Vernon. He married Kelly J. (Thayer) Young Sept. 26, 2003, in Jamaica; she survives. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Wayne City. The Rev. Brent Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow at Thomason Cemetery, with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Wayne City. Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Kelly J. (Thayer) Young of Wichita Falls, Texas; a daughter, Kaitlin N. Young of Sandoval; a sister, Sheila R. Mattmiller and husband David of Centralia; a half brother, Eddie Marsh and wife Christina of Centralia; his stepfather, who raised him, Bill Marsh of Centralia; and his grandmother, Wanda Gross of Wayne City. Mr. Young had attended First United Methodist Church in Wayne City. He joined the Air Force Oct. 14, 1984. He graduated from Centralia High School in 1983.
