J.C. and Ida (Mitchell) Sanders and daughter

Picture belonged to Elizabeth Sammons (Mrs. James Claude Sammons). The writing on the back says:
"To Mr. & Mrs. Sledge From Mr. & Mrs. J.C. Sanders."
A different handwriting in ink says: "Mother's sister Ida Sanders & Family".

Elizabeth was the daughter of Zebulon Lewis and Ophelia Josephine (Mitchell) Sledge, indicating that the pictured lady, Ida, is the sister of Ophelia Josephine, and both were daughters of Thomas and Tabitha Jane (Hudson) Mitchell.

Ida was born in Illinois about 1867 according to the 1870 Census, Jefferson County, Illinois, Mt. Vernon Township.

She married J.C. Sanders in Marquette, Kansas, on 29 August 1883.
