WILL OF WM. HALBROOK Probate Box 8 Recorded in Will Book C In the name of God Amen. I, William Halbrook of Jefferson County and State of Illinois, being weak in body but sound in mind and memory do make ordain, and establish this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others. 1st It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my personal estate. 2nd After such payment I do hereby devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Harriet all my Estate during her widowhood or natural life and after the death of my said wife I bequeath to my son Calvin Oakley Halbrook all the Estate of which my said wife may die --?--. 3rd I do hereby appoint Thomas Hunt to be Excutor of this my last will and testament. In Testimony whereof I have --?-- my hand and off-?- my and this 20th day of December AD 1848 (signed) Wm. Halbrook seal Signed and acknowlded before us this day and date above written The people of the state of Illinois To all when there presents shall come Greetings
The said Thomas Hunt as such Executor to collect and secure and singular the goods and Chattels Rights and Credits, which were of the said William Halbrook at the time of his decease, in whosoever haves or possission the same may be found in this state and well and truly to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon him by Said will for as there shall be property. - - - to do and perform all other acts. which now are or hereafter my be required of him by law.
