In the name of God, Amen, I William HARRIS of Jefferson County and State of Illinois, do hereby make and declare this my last will and testament in maner and form following, to wit; lst - It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. 2nd - After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise, and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ann HARRIS the use of the present farm that I now live on for her maintenance, and known as the south half of the south east quarter of Section thirty five, and south west fourth of the south west quarter of Section thirty six, and the south east fourth of the south east quarter of Section thirty four, all in township number four south of Range number one east of the third principal meridian, in the County of Jefferson and State of Illinois, also, the west half of the north west quarter of Section one, and forty acres of timber in the north east corner of Section three, all in township number five south, of Range number one east of the third principal meridian in the County of Franklin and State of Illinois, and two good horses of her own selection, and one cow and calf, and two hogs of her own selection, and all the goods and Chattles in the house and kitchen that she necessaryally needs for her own use and benefit while she lives, and when she dies, they are to be sold as the other property, and after paying the funeral expenses and Doctor bill of herself, the remainder is to be distributed to the heirs like my other property according to my will, and one years provision necessary for herself and Martha WALLACE and her two children, Adda and Wash Tella, and for my son Charles and wife, also feed for the stock that my wife keeps for six months and firewood for the same length of time, 3rd - At my death I want all my property sold except what has been stated above, and after all expenses are paid, the remainder is to be divided equally between my five daughters, Elizabeth ERWIN, Mary E. CUNNINGHAM, or her bodily heirs, Rebecca CROUCH, Rachel J. WARD and Martha E. WALLACE, but Mary E. CUNNINGHAM's children is only have fifty dollars equally divided between them, and they are not to receive their portion untill they are of lawful age. 4th - I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Adda Wes_____ pme certain yearling horse colt, a bright sorrell, 5th - and lastly, I now constitute and appoint J. H. LUCK my executor of this my last will and testament,revoking and annulling all former wills by me made, and ratify and confirming this and no other, to be my last will and Testament, In witness whereof, I the said William HARRIS, have here unto set my hand and seal, this eight day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three.
