Zachariah Harvey's Last Will and Testament:

"I, Zachariah Harvey of the County of Jefferson and State oflllinois, being weak in body, but of sound and perfect memory, blessed be Almight God for the same do make and published this my last will and testament in manner and form following, this is to say,

First: It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.

Second: After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts I give, devise and bequeath unto by beloved
stepson James Harvey Dukes his heirs and assignors all my real estate situate in the County of Jefferson and State of Illinois and upon which I now reside. With the provised, and upon the expenses condition that he take care of and provide for, and furnish a comfortable home for his mother, my beloved wife, Ellen Harvey during her natural lifetime to have and to hold to him, his heirs, and assignors forever.

Third: It is my will that my stepson James Harvey Dukes, shall take care of and provide a home for my beloved stepdaughter Josephine Dukes and her little boy, so long as she shall remain unmarried

And Lastly, as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate whatsoever, after payments of all my just debts, I give and bequeath the same to my beloved stepson James Harvey Dukes whom I hereby appoint my sole executor of this my last will and testament; hereby revoking all former wills by me made;

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of December A.D. 1865
