THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF EMILY M. PACE The city of Mt. Vernon, in the county of Jefferson and State of Illinois, made and published the fourth day do December in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight Hundred and Ninety Six. IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I, Emily M. Pace of the city of Mt. Vernon in the County of Jefferson and State of Illinois, of the age of Sixty Eight years and being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make and publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say: FIRST: - It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. SECOND: - I give and bequeath, to Mrs. Nellie C. Foulks my organ and three Hundred dollars ($300.00) in money. THIRD: - I give and bequeath to Miss Helen Hartnagle, Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($450.00) in money. FOURTH: - I give and bequeath to James Downing Pace, Miss Nancy Twitty, Mrs. Nancy C. Terry, (my niece), Mrs. Eliza Ridgway, and John T. Hartnagel Fifty Dollars ($50.00) each in money. FIFTH: - I give and bequeath to the Trustees of the First Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to be expended by said trustees for the use and benefit of said church. SIXTH: - I give devise and bequeath to Mrs. Lora Hartnagel my house place known and described as lot number two (2), in block number three (3) in S.K. Caseys third addition to the city of Mt. Vernon in the county of Jefferson and State of Illinois: also, the unoccupied part of lot number Three Hundred and seventeen (317) in Oakwood Cemetery situated on a part of the S.E. ¼ of the S.W. ¼ of Section thirty (30) in Town two (2) South Range Three (3) East of the 3rd P.M. in Jefferson County State of Illinois, to have and to hold for her own proper use and benefit forever, and I also, give and bequeath to said Lora Hartnagel all my house hold and kitchen furniture of every kind and description, which shall include all furniture, beds and bedding, wearing apparel and table ware. SEVENTH: - I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residure(?) and remainder of my said estate, real, personal and mixed, whether owned by me now or acquired by me hereafter unto Norman McAnally Moss and Robert Allyn Moss, Children of Norman H. Moss, Esq. In equal shares.LASTLY: - I hereby nominate and appoint Norman H. Moss, Esq. To be the Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
